With the rain we received at this year’s race, the wet and muddy course slowed times a fair amount compared to normal conditions. As the day went on and more and more athletes raced, the conditions got worse so later races were impacted more than the earlier races. We have developed a calculator to give you an estimated time of what you would have run with normal dry course conditions.

Additionally, we have converted your dry course conditions 5k time to estimated 2-mile, 3200m and 3000m times if run on a track.
For example, last year in 2021 Colin Sahlman won the Gold Boys Race in 14:03.29. Using the conversion equations developed by Coach Tom Schwartz, this predicts that Colin could run the following at the time he ran the race:
2-miles = 8:40.31
3200m = 8:37.14
3,000m = 8:02.99
*These are predicted track times that Colin could have run the day of the race in 2021, not what he ran during his outdoor track season.
