providing structure via periodized, personalized training plans, as well as tips for training and race-day strategy, in a feedback loop with the athlete;
gaining the athlete's trust, as well as inspiring / building their self-confidence;
fostering growth and fortitude;
advising as to staving off injury;
assisting with post-event analyses;
addressing physical & mental needs, with respect to recovery, as well as practical & logistical needs for (possibly) the next program.
