Completing a trail run is an achievable goal for almost anyone, with a little bit of understanding and structured training. The same basic training principles apply when running on a trail or road. To progress over the long term, reach your full potential, and stay injury-free, you build your aerobic base and then develop your ability to maintain a faster pace for a longer duration.
The Fleet Feet Trail Training Program will introduce you to all the basics, including the differences between long run, run/walk, recovery and "easy" pace, trail techniques, trail run nutrition and hydration, trail gear, trail footwear, trail clothing, and more!
It doesn’t matter how fast you run or how far you go. What's important is that you move. Whether you are new to trail running, trying to improve your trail race performance, or want to keep moving outdoors and off-road, our program will help you progress toward personal goals, wellness, and running success.
This program is limited to twenty participants and has no prerequisites other than your willingness to show up, get moving, and not be afraid of a bit of mud.
