The 10K (ten kilometers, 6.2 miles) is a popular race because the distance is challenging but doable. On the one hand, running 6.2 miles demands your respect and attention, but on the other, it isn't so far that you can't train and complete several in a year. Many runners start their running by entering 5Ks and, after successful completion, set their sights on a 10K. It's the next logical step beyond the 5K and a great segue to the half marathon and beyond.
Our 10k Training Program is designed to further runners and run/walkers toward fitness and running goals beyond the 5K distance. Our coaches and mentors will provide motivation to keep you moving, guidance and advice, weekly group training, and educational clinics on proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus, you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like you!
Whether you are new to the 10K, trying to improve performance, or want to keep moving, our program will help you progress toward personal goals, wellness, and running success.
This program will start at 2 miles. Before starting this training program, we recommend that you already run 2-3 days per week and be able to comfortably complete a 5K.
