missed the goal but did what I could on the day. after only a couple of track races the last 3 years my calves felt this one. half way through the race they were on fire. This was a new feeling for me...I've dealt with post race calf soreness but never mid 10k. From a cardio standpoint I felt pretty solid. felt tightness in my ribcage still but nothing major. really body broke down more than anything. A positive step in some ways

14 miles with last 3 fast but controlled. Let's try and go 5:30/5:20/5:10 on those last 3 miles. 2miles easy for 16 on the day.

roads were slushy so I opted for 10 miles outside @645 avg and then went inside on the treadmill for 1 mi easy, 3 miles fast (5:30/5:18/5:05...yes, I did look like a crazy person at the YMCA), and 2 miles cool down. 16 on the day. fast portion felt better the longer I ran
